Next week is
‘William Hogarth’s Walk to School Week’
19th-23rd October 2020!
The walk to school campaign is organised by Living Streets, a national charity that promotes walking to school. Each year, Living Streets sets children across London the challenge of walking to and from school.
It’s been proven that children who do some form of exercise, especially a walk before school, do better in class because they arrive refreshed, fit and ready to learn.
We want you to walk, scoot, cycle or even bunny hop to school as long as you try to leave the car at home or part of the way! Each class will be keeping a chart of who is making their way to school by foot. And there will be badges to win at the end of the week.
If you take pictures of yourselves making your way to school, we might even put your picture in the school newsletter or post it on Twitter - so get those feet ready for next week!
