Year 3 Tate Project

Year 3 were very excited yesterday to have their visit from Tate Britain’s photographer for the Tate Year 3 Project. We did some role play and learned how to ‘read’ a photograph – why not ask your child what the three layers of reading are! For those who don’t know about the project, it is being put together by Tate and Steve McQueen, the Turner Prize winning artist and Oscar winning director. Around 3,500 classes in Year 3 across London will have their photos in the show (which starts in November this year), including ours! We are all looking forward to spotting our classes in amongst our peers.  A big thank you to Miss Agyeman for organising for us to take part in this fantastic venture.
