Information Regarding your Child’s Report:

 

  • Your child has taken part in the ‘Back on Track’ curriculum from September – December. The ‘Back on Track’ curriculum looked closely at the fundamentals within Maths, Reading and Grammar from the previous year that had been potentially missed due to the global pandemic and the changes to schooling from March – July. Using the ‘Back on Track’ curriculum data, class teachers have been able to pinpoint the gaps and focus on precision teaching to fill those gaps.

 

  • Your child has also completed formal assessments in Maths, Reading and Grammar and the scores are shared on your child’s report.

 

  • An effort grade (for Maths, Reading and Writing) has been given to your child based on the effort they have shown since their return in September. The effort grades are from 1-5 with 5 being the highest effort shown.

 

  • The PiXL gradings displayed on your child’s report are based on the scores from their recent assessments and their effort grade. They show what your child is on track to achieve and where extra support might be needed if they are not reaching their full potential. The PiXL gradings are explained below:

Above Expected Key Marginal

Based on current rate of progress, will securely achieve Expected Standard.  With the right forensic support, has the potential to achieve Above Expected Standard

E1

Based on current rate of progress, will secure Expected Standard

E2

Based on current rate of progress is likely to achieve Expected Standard but may require some additional support

B1

PiXL Key Marginal

Based on current rate of progress, will not achieve Expected Standard but with the right forensic support, has the potential to do so.

B2

Requires specialist support
