We wrote to Sir Peter Blake

Our Class is named Blake class, after the famous artist Sir Peter Blake. We looked at some of his art and particularly liked his cover for The Beatles' 'Sergeant Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band' and thought we would make our own. Like The Beatles, we thought about people we could bring in to join our class, Some were fantasy figures, some were real life celebrities and some were beloved members of our families. We made a collage - you can see how it compares to Sir Peter's one...

   

We then decided to send it to Sir Peter to see what he thought if it. He lives very near by so we decided to invite him to tea. We knew he had not been very well but wrote the following letter with a copy of our collage:

Let's hope he is well enough to come to tea soon.
