Digi Leaders

Our mission is to make the internet a great and safe place for everyone!

Our aims for this year are:

To make the internet a better place by becoming a good online friend. Learn internet safety issues and how to deal with them. Engage with the school community through class presentations, newsletter contributions and communicate with teachers and pupils in class to help with online situations. We will give children questionnaires to find out about pupil’s experiences online and allow pupils to ask us questions.

Our Digi-leaders receive specialised training from Childnet Digital Leaders programme.

The programme is a youth leadership training programme empowering young people to educate their peers about online safety. They are the only online safety charity in the UK delivering an online peer-to-peer training programme that directly helps education settings embed a comprehensive approach to online safety.

Groups of Digital Leaders complete training on an interactive, informative and fun platform. They work through online modules, equipping them with the skills they need to go on to educate and support their peers.

We are working on the completion of these modules and will earn badges, certificates and a qualification. In the future we hope to train up more pupils and collaborate with more people outside of our school. ​
