Message from the Headteacher
Dear Families,
Well done to our Year 5 & 6 Girls Football Team who performed exceptionally well at today’s tournament in Heston, winning all of their 9 matches. They looked wonderful in their school kit – really smart and did us all proud with their sportsmanship and behaviour. Thank you to Mr Berriman for organising our participation in the event.
Learning 2 Lead was very purposeful this afternoon. The Anti-Bullying Ambassadors conducted a whole school review of PSHE displays and have written up their feedback and next steps for class teachers, whilst the Eco-Committee got to grips with the allotment. The School Councillors worked with me, creating some pupil voice questionnaires to investigate behaviour in and around school. This will help to inform their work on reviewing the school’s Behaviour Policy.
A big thank you to all the parents who attended the FOWHS AGM this morning; the turnout was great. Andrea and the team have come up with loads of ideas for social and fund-raising events across the year, with the first being a Halloween event coming up just after half term. If you would like to join the team, do please speak to your class rep. I know they will be absolutely delighted to have you on board.
Another quick reminder that we have a parent governor vacancy for a parent governor. As a parent governor, you bring a unique perspective to the board with your first-hand experience of how the school is perceived from a ‘consumer’ pov.
If you have great interpersonal skills and are:
● Committed
● Inquisitive
● Analytical
● Willing to learn and keen to have a positive impact
Please nominate yourself for the role by contacting the school office, admin@hogarth.hounslow.sch.uk . Alternatively, you might have a great idea about someone else in our school community who fits the bill. You can also nominate that person by contacting the school office at the email address above. The deadline for nominations has been extended to Friday October 21st please. If there are 2 or more nominations at this date, we will hold a full election to select our new parent governor. If you would like any information on what is involved, please speak to Mr Kremer (parent governor with a Year 2 child) or myself.
Have a wonderful weekend
Ms Stockley
