With the help of a generous grant from the FOWHS we had a fantastic visit from Mad Science today where following an assembly, everyone in the school from Early Years up to Year 6 had workshops of a variety of topics from Chemistry (making slime) to electricity.

Dana (Yr 4) During the assembly, Dangerous Dan used a leaf blower to propel toilet paper around the hall. Lots of children stood up to catch the toilet paper! Rocky (Yr 6) It was really fun and interesting. I enjoyed doing the experiments. Dangerous Dan was funny. Maryam It was very interactive and one of the best parts of the school Day. The experiments were really interesting.

Lower Key Stage 2 Monet Class

Jenna (Yr 4): My favourite moment was when Charlotte put her hands on an electricity generator and she filled up with electrical charge and her hair stood on end! When she stepped off of the plastic box the charge left her and her hair returned to normal. Muniba (Yr 4): The workshop was great – I really liked the part where Dangerous Dan barbecued our bogeys! He put his hand on a plasma ball and touched the tip of our nose and gave us a little shock. We could smell fire! Hadeel (Yr 3): I really enjoyed the workshop it was really fun! It was a great way to learn about science. I particularly enjoyed the electricity learning where I acted as an atom and my friends ran around me being electrons.

Year 6 Riley class
